Before we assigned roles to tasks, we had to create a pitch for our game ideas. For the PowerPoint slides I created silhouette art to boost interest for the games concept.

I was eventually assigned the task of creating one of the three characters - one of the enemy variants. At this time my design would be the first one to be finished for 3D development and so I had a finished design from this point after three weeks.

This stage was all about ideas, using different animals and shape language to try to develop something interesting. During this project speed was key and timing was incredibly important with such a small turnover period.

The two designs chosen was number 2 ( the cat) and number 4 (the boar).

After the senior art director had seen my designs I was told to focus on bulkier shapes for the stronger guard variant - and the other guard would be small and quick.
